Students in Class 1 created collage where they expressed themselves through their work and made choices without much teacher direction. It was a fun, engaging, and learning experience for them.

Skills developed through collage work are
Self awareness: making choices
Self regulation: controlling the amount of glue they squeeze, learning to share materials
Socio-emotional: learn to share materials while working at the same table with others; attention and persistence
Physical development: helps to develop fine motor skills (squeezing glue, tearing paper, etc.) and aids in handwriting.
Safety rules: use scissors safely.
