Std 5 Mapping Skill
Mapping skills enable students learnto read and use a map to navigate nature and the greater biosphere with ease. And creating a map enhances their sense of complex directional skills, recognising cardinal directions, measuring distance between two places. It is for this reason, the club activity ‘Mapping Skills’ was undertaken in Grade 5 wherein children actively applied their thinking skills and created their own map from home to school in a creative way. Also, students who develop robust spatial thinking skills will be at an advantage in our increasingly global and technological society.
