Std 7 Stitching Buttons, Hooks, Simple Repairing
“The simple thing can be really powerful.” Students of Class 7 experienced this during the club event on “Stitching, Stitching buttons, hooks and simple repairing. Through this activity the stereotype,” stitching is not the boy’s cup of tea” was broken. Students had fun during the activity and have learnt the art which will be helpful to them in future too. This will also generate sensitivity among students to pay attention for small but necessary life skills. They promised to do their small tasks to do by their own rather than depending on elders. Sewing requires concentration and hand-eye coordination, which helps with cognitive development and the development of motor skills. The creative thinking required during sewing encourages the growth of new brain cells. Sewing encourages self-discipline, accomplishments, and instils pride, which boosts mental health.
